On the day itself, please do arrive punctually to collect your tickets from your CT reps at the door. You will not be allowed into DXO without a ticket.
Many people have been asking how to get to DXO - Colours By The Bay, so here are some directions! :) For those taking MRT, alight at City Hall MRT and walk through Citylink Mall until you reach the Esplanade exit. DXO is located next to Esplanade Mall, you shouldn't miss it ;)
If you're being driven, The nearest expressway is the East Coast Parkway Express (ECP)
If you're taking a bus, Bus numbers: 36, 56, 70, 75, 77, 97, 106, 111, 133, 162, 171, 195, 502, 700A, 857, 960, 961, NR1, NR2, NR5, NR6, NR7, NR8 and Nite Owl 1N, 2N, 3N, 4N, 5N, 6N, 7N and 8N. The nearest bus stop is also located along Raffles Avenue, outside the Esplanade Mall entrance.

Festival of Sports will be on 27th October 2009 and it will be held from 4pm till 7pm. Just to remind all of you there will be a total of 6 games played:

As all of you know, Apollo Faculty has been bringing home the Faculty Shield for the past few years, and each year we have create new milestones! Last year, we got the never attained before Festival of Sports Champions. Besides all other aspects of the Faculty Shield, our sportsmen and sportswomen fought hard to battle it out with the rest. We brought home a new title that Apollo has never gotten before. Will we be able to defend our title this year?
Our teams are all set and ready to go. You can do your part too, by coming down to the various venues to cheer on your friends. See you!

On the 22nd October, our dearest C2 seniors graduated from Hwa Chong Institution! Having studied in this school for nearly 2 years, for the high school boys 6 years, there are more or less attachments formed between students and their alma mater.
"Every morning we meet at our CT bench to put our bags and have a chat, for 2 whole years we did the same... Until we graduate.(on 22nd October)"
Although it may be rather cliche to be bringing out the lyrics of "Never Forget", but they are very true! These are the very few things we do each day unknowingly and we often take them for granted. The left and right wings are probably the most happening places in the whole of Hwa Chong, and this is why many have commented that HCI is really our second home.
With friends, college life is so much more vibrant and interesting.
With friends, every minute and every second spent in HCI will never be a lonely one.
With friends, "never will we ever forget, all the times we had in HwaChong. All the days we spent, hand in hand, playing to our hearts' content. We will always be together, heart to heart, we'll conquer. All the loneliness, the emptiness. Cause HwaChong will always be there."
Because of these, that evening was filled with laughter, tears of joy and also pictures for memory sake.
On the 20th of October 2009, we gathered at the Left Wing to jumpstart our morning with a hearty breakfast and some exercise (aka Limbo!).
As we started rolling out the food on the tables and the music played, it was certain it was going to one happening morning.
Our Apollo banner hung high in the morning sun, while everyone clustered around their tables to participate in all the excitement.
S77! S7G (with one rich chocolatey cake over there!) S75 with their donuts! A14 AND A15 (hope you guys managed to finish all the bananas in the end!) S7B!
Then it was the most EXCITING part of our breakfast, the Limbo Rock competition!
As the competition started, everyone gathered naturally in a circle in the Central Plaza, and what a pleasant sight it was :)
Bullboys and girls from all walks of life (and sizes and shapes too!) took part.
We had tall.
We had petite.
Just look at everyone's faces in the background!
And our two winners were: 1. Chua Hern Hern from 09A14! One flexible thing she is
2. Jocelyn Ang from 09S73! Making use of her insanely long legs!!!
We ended off with the most creative yellow food item, and we had 2 winners too! 1. 09S79 for the most effort put in their LEMON TART!

History of the bullboy
Apollo, being all mighty and powerful gained the respect of all other Greek Gods. However, he was getting bored up in the heavens. One day, he went to the Supreme Greek god Zeus, and pleaded for a chance to become a mortal, seeing how interesting life below the clouds could be.
During one of his previous trips to Earth, he had heard a nursery rhyme and was intrigued by it. It went like this:
Hey diddle diddle,
The cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon,
The little dog laughed to see such sport,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.
Hmm, maybe being a cow would be interesting as well! He told Zeus and within seconds he found himself grazing along with other cows in a herd.
When the sun set, Apollo saw the beautiful moon for the first time from below the cloud, and was fascinated. He thought to himself: Perhaps, I could try to do like what the cow did in that nursery rhyme!
He took a few deep breaths, and leapt towards the moon at the speed of light. Just when Apollo was reaching the moon, he noticed a small yellow object moving around the moon. He then realized it was an ASTRONAUT! He exclaimed, “OH NO!!!!”
“BOOM BOOM POW!!” Apollo and the astronaut collided and were knocked unconscious. Making matters worse, a meteorite struck at the exact spot where Apollo and the astronaut were lying.
There was a cloud of dust and particles, and when it all cleared up, only Apollo’s head and the astronaut’s yellow headgear was left. Owing to the presence of radioactive substances, the two fused together, forming our beloved Bullboy, the pride and glory of our Faculty.
